ONE OF THE MAIN GOALS THIS YEAR WAS TO GIVE A FRESH TAKE ON THE TRADITION FONT FACE WITHIN THE TEXT LOGO ITSELF. SIMPLY BY ADDING SOME SMALL EFFECTS TO THE TEXT LOGO IT REFRESHED THE OLD LOGO. ALONG WITH THIS, MIXING TRADITION AND MODERN TOGETHER HELPED TO GIVE A FEW DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR MARKETING WITH THIS LOGO.

BY ADDING IN ANOTHER EVENT ON THE TAIL END OF THE SECOND NIGHT OF REC THE HALLS THIS YEAR, IT CALLED FOR ANOTHER LOGO TO BE CREATED. WE ARE HOSTING THE FIRST CALL OF DUTY ZOMBIES CHAMPIONSHIP IN OKLAHOMA FOLLOWING PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT FOR BLACK OPS 7. THE EVENT IS CALLED “HALLEN DER UNTOTEN” WHICH IS GERMAN FOR “HALLS OF THE UNDEAD”. MAPS IN CALL OF DUTY ZOMBIES SOMETIMES ARE IN GERMAN, WHICH IS WHERE OUR NAME FOR THIS EVENT CAME FROM. THIS LOGO, WHILE SOMEWHAT SINISTER, EMBODIES THE COD ZOMBIES COMMUNITIES FEEL AND STYLE.

THIS YEAR WE TOOK ON A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN AND LEAD THE DESIGN OF THE WEBSITE, LOGO, AND MARKETING. THE CAMPAIGN IS CALLED “THE REIMAGINE PROJECT”. THE SOLE PURPOSE IS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE ALL NEW, ALL INCLUSIVE REIMAGINING OF OUR CURRENT PARK, “IMAGINATION STATION”. THE REIMAGINE PROJECT IS RAN BY THE PLAY 4 ALL ALTUS ACTION TEAM. CONSISTING OF ALTUS PARKS + RECREATION, THE CITY OF ALTUS, ALTUS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, SCHOOL LEADERS, PARENTS OF KIDS WITH DISABILITIES, AND OTHER LOCAL LEADERS. THE IDEA WAS TO BRING A BRIGHT, PLAYFUL LOGO THAT WOULD CATCH PEOPLE’S ATTENTION.

WE ALSO ENCOURAGED VOTERS TO VOTE ON A PERMANENT HOTEL TAX, THAT WOULD IMPACT FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS AND FACILITIES WITHIN ALTUS. WE ENTITLED THIS THE “PARKS & PLAY RENEWAL FUND”. THE GOAL OF THIS LOGO WAS TO BE BOLD AND TO BRING SOME VISION TO THE TAX. THE CAMPAIGN INCLUDED A SERIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF INFORMING VOTERS AND ENCOURAGING VOTING REGARDLESS OF A ‘YES’ OR A ‘NO’.
